(3/3) From resilient stormwater management to sustainable site design and community-focused planning, we’re excited to keep the momentum going and continue supporting Maryland’s communities through thoughtful, forward-thinking engineering.

(1/3) We’re back from the Maryland Municipal League (@MDMunicipal) 2026 Summer Conference! Our team had a great time reconnecting with many of the municipalities we’re proud to partner with and establishing new relationships with others across the state.
(2/3) With key officials representing over 160 local governments, the conference was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, share best practices, and explore innovative engineering solutions that strengthen infrastructure and enhance quality of life throughout Maryland.
(4/4) Congratulations to Brice on earning their Professional Engineer (PE) license, a testament to their dedication, expertise, and commitment to the engineering profession. We are proud to celebrate this milestone and look forward to all they will accomplish in their career.
(1/4) We are pleased to share that this May, Brice Forest, a member of our Engineering Department, was recognized at the Maryland Society of Professional Engineers (MDSPE) Newly Licensed Engineers Event.
(3/4) A highlight of the evening was the Order of the Engineer ceremony, where Brice received their steel ring, symbolizing their pledge to uphold the integrity, ethics, and responsibility that come with being an engineer. It was a meaningful moment to celebrate together.
This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.
Please note our office will be closed on Monday in observance of the holiday.
(3/3) In addition to networking, we attended technical sessions like “From Hotspot to Watershed,” highlighting evolving approaches to watershed-scale planning. Experiences like this help us bring informed, forward-thinking solutions back to our projects.
Last week, our team attended the Chesapeake Water Environment Association (CWEA) Stormwater Seminar to stay up to date on the latest developments in stormwater management and connect with the many clients, partners, and industry peers we regularly work with across the region.
As an organization dedicated to improving water quality and protecting the water environment across Delaware, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., the @ChesapeakeWEA plays an important role in advancing education, collaboration, and technical expertise within our industry.
(3/3) No shortcuts. No exceptions. Speaking up, slowing down, and choosing the safer action every time is what prevents falls, protects one another, and ensures everyone makes it home safely at the end of the day. #ConstructionSafetyWeek#SafetyFirst#JobsiteSafety
(1/3) As we celebrate Construction Safety Week, today we are taking part in OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls. Falls remain one of the leading causes of worker fatalities and life-altering injuries in our industry.
(2/3) The most concerning part is that nearly all fall-related incidents are preventable with the right preparation, equipment, communication, and awareness. Fall protection only works when it’s used correctly, every single time.
(1/4) On Tues, April 14, CPJ’s Sean Peiffer, LS and Hannah Corson joined a delegation of surveyors from Virginia to participate in the @NSPSINC Day on the Hill! Over 100 surveyors from 46 states gathered in D.C. to advocate for the profession and engage with congressional reps.
@JamesWalkinshaw@YVindman (3/4) Discussions focused on workforce development, the importance of high-definition mapping and survey-related sciences at the federal level, and protecting field professionals from emerging hazards such as Alpha-Gal Syndrome.
(3/3) Each drawing reflects a focus on creating outdoor environments that are functional, inclusive, and connected to the communities they serve, from early design through construction documentation. Happy #WorldLandscapeArchitectureMonth!
(1/3) Life is better when the spaces around us are designed with people in mind. Through thoughtful design and technical precision, CPJ Landscape Designer, Baishakhi Biswas helps translate plans into built environments that support sustainability, connection, and everyday use.
(2/3) Her work includes planting strategies, zoning coordination, and detailed site and grading plans that guide how spaces are built. She also develops clear, purpose-driven exhibits that support pedestrian & bicycle access, open space planning, and safe, functional site design.
