Stay Updated on the Latest Palm Oil Market Outlook
The global palm oil market in 2026 is expected to remain firm, even as production growth moderates amid structural challenges, including aging trees, rising labour costs, and land-related disruptions. Meanwhile, robust imports from India in early 2026 have supported demand resilience, despite the continued softening of the EU market. Prices are therefore forecast to stay strong at USD 900–1,100 per tonne.

Palm Oil Market Outlook – February 2026
🔒 Exclusive to CPOPC Member Countries
Pakistan’s demand for palm oil continues to grow, projected to exceed 5 million tonnes before 2030. As one of the key edible oils supporting food security, SMEs, and household affordability, ensuring stable and sustainable supply is more important than imposing restrictions that may disrupt supply chains and escalate prices.
In an interview with Business Recorder, CPOPC Secretary General Izzana Salleh highlighted how predictable trade policies, stronger collaboration between producing and consuming countries, and recognition of sustainability standards can help secure Pakistan’s food security in the future.
Through facilitating structured dialogue, countering misinformation with credible evidence, and building mutual understanding, CPOPC aims to strengthen cooperation and ensure that sustainability, stable supply, and affordable food prices move forward together.

Women are essential to the palm oil sector as workers, farmers, entrepreneurs, caregivers, and community leaders. This International Women’s Day, CPOPC spotlights examples from member countries that show how support for women can take many forms: safer workplaces, stronger rights awareness, new income opportunities, practical skills, healthcare access, and leadership development.
These actions demonstrate that empowering women is not only the right thing to do but also a meaningful way to strengthen families, build more resilient communities, and support more inclusive growth across the palm oil value chain.

On 3 March each year, we celebrate #WorldWildlifeDay
Wildlife is more than just animals in the forest. It includes plants, ecosystems, and all living species on land that sustain life on Earth and form the foundation of biodiversity-based resources that meet human needs, from food and fuel to medicines, housing, and clothing.
Protecting wildlife means protecting our shared future.
One example of this commitment was when CPOPC, together with #YEAs, had the opportunity to visit Salat Island, where firsthand insights were gained into the sustainable efforts within the oil palm industry and the importance of environmental conservation.
At Salat Island, orangutan conservation initiatives are jointly managed by an oil palm company (PT. SMSS) and NGO (BOS Foundation), demonstrating how collaboration can contribute to wildlife protection and habitat preservation.
On this World Wildlife Day, let us continue to promote solutions where development and conservation move forward together.🦧🐘🐅🦒🦅🐋🌳🌴🤝🏻✨
