So sad to hear about the passing of Hammy J Hamilton yesterday. He was a fixture in the Calgary Piping and Drumming community for so many years.
Likely, there are very few Drummers who grew up in Calgary - really, most of Western Canada - 1/?
knowledge, and good humor to the circle and helped make it better.
Thank you Hammy, for bringing your love of drumming and pipe bands to us all. May you now be part of the amazing drum line that has preceded you to the next adventure.
Happy #internationalbagpipeday hoping to see you on a parade route soon! Stay positive test negative as they say and we will see you when we return to the circle!

Don’t worry, we will be back to fill your hearts with love and bagpipes as soon as we can and we will be easy to find - we’ll be the ones with the great tunes - definitely worth waiting for! Happy Valentine’s Day!
Happy Robbie Burns Day! We were hoping we would have been able to debut our new bass drum to you all in performance but we will wait until we can all safely do so and celebrate Burns together once again. Stay safe so we can see you all in person again soon! #RobbieBurnsDay2021
You just keep giving, #yyc.
From all of us, to all of you: Thank you for reminding us why we love this city.

A solemn yet dignified procession for Sergeant Harnett is planned for tomorrow; one where all Calgarians are able to participate. #WeWillRemember https://t.co/DTdmX9tseW
This is truly a horrible day for the City of Calgary and the Calgary Police Service. The Band offers our sincere condolences to the family, friends and CPS brothers and sisters of Sgt. Andrew Harnett. Our thoughts and tunes are with you at this sad time.
We are able to release the name of our member who was killed while on duty late yesterday.
Sgt. Andrew Harnett, 37, joined the Calgary Police Service 12 years ago. He will be forever missed.
