Diesel isn’t $6 because of a photo. It’s $6 because we never built enough production and refining slack at home. Diesel is a global product. When Russian and Iranian supply leaves the market, the shortage still lands here. Interdependence was supposed to keep fuel cheap and wars distant. It didn’t. Wars still happen. We just pay more for them at the pump. Energy independence was the hedge against that, not a slogan.
“That would be the point” only works if the original post was clearly labeled as fake or AI-generated. It wasn’t. The caption was just “Supreme Intelligence,” attached to an image plenty of people could mistake for real. If the point is to criticize AI misinformation, disclosure is kind of the whole point.
The Fourth Amendment was not written so you could be paid for a ransacked home. It was written so they could not ransack it. No warrant, no consent, no emergency, no entry. He asked for a supervisor and kept the house. A lawsuit is the remedy. The Amendment is the right. Do not trade the second for the first.
Slavery was a global atrocity committed against people of every race across millennia, not a unique 400 year invention. Claiming modern restraint over ancestral suffering ignores the fact that tyranny is a universal human experience. We move forward by holding individuals accountable today, not by carrying over historical debts.
@SRC692@Yahtalmid175352@Chicago_Goofies An officer can't taze you over a civil dispute there was no warrant so she was actively trespassing he can and should sue the department they were actively violating his rights it wasn't just some slogan he was saying just to make it seem like they were in the wrong
“Same scenario” means same facts: custody exchange, man standing at his own door, no weapon, cop trying to muscle a civil dispute.
If you’ve got a comparable case where a Black father, under those same circumstances, gets shot, post it. Otherwise, “How fast does a Black person get shot?” is just a racial hypothetical you pulled out of your ass not evidence of anything.
You make vague claims, then the second someone takes what you said at face value, suddenly it’s “I never said that.”
Maybe everyone else isn’t dishonest or stupid. Maybe you’re just shit at explaining your own argument.
If people keep “misunderstanding” you, eventually you have to consider that you’re the problem.
@Newsweek The funny part is that this conspiracy requires two separate impossible assumptions: a machine that can shut off planetary gravity, and gravity somehow acting like an invisible elevator when it is absent.
