Happy Presidents Day - Since 1879, Presidents Day originally established to celebrated George Washington's Birthday. It was later explanded honor all United States Presidents.

#OnThisDay in 1781, the Battle of Fort Griswold and New London was fought in Connecticut. London Pleasants, featured in our Finding Freedom interactive, fought at New London that day with the American Legion, a Loyalist force under Benedict Arnold.
