The game has a way of testing you. The last few weeks at the plate have been a struggle, but I never stopped working. When things aren’t going your way, you can either make excuses or get back in the cage and keep grinding.

After a lot of extra work, I’m finally starting to figure a few things out and get that confident feeling back. There’s still work to do, but I’m excited about the progress and where it’s heading.

Now it’s time to keep building over the next two weeks and be ready when we head to the Triple Crown Colorado Sparkler National Power Pool. Can’t wait to compete with my teammates and see what all the hard work turns into.

Top Gun Invitational is officially in the books! 🥎

What a week with my Impact Caymol Premier teammates. We started with more than 30 teams and battled our way into the Sweet 16. One of my favorite moments was helping our team complete a 4-run comeback in extra innings with a walk-off RBI single to keep our tournament run going.

Not every game ended the way we wanted, but I’m proud of how hard we competed and never stopped fighting. I learned a lot, made great memories, and got to compete against some really talented teams from around the country.

Thankful for my coaches, teammates, and family for all the support. Time to get back to work and keep getting better.

Next stop: Triple Crown Colorado Sparkler! 💪

Impact Caymol Premier went undefeated this weekend at the Triple Crown Fastpitch Zoom Into June East, against some really strong competition and finished it off with a CHAMPIONSHIP SHUTOUT.

This team didn’t take the easy road either. Every game was a battle against legit talent, and these girls just kept answering the bell. Toughness. Energy. Discipline. All weekend long.

Charlie was huge for the staff behind the plate and in the field throughout the tournament:

🥎 1.000 fielding percentage

And at the plate she continued to find ways to help the team win:

What stands out the most is how this group competed. No panic. No backing down. Just ballplayers playing for each other and handling business against high-level teams all weekend.

Summer ball starts next weekend with our organizational practice and the DC34 Memorial, and I’m ready to get after it with this group. Grateful for the opportunity to compete this summer with Impact Caymol Premier against some of the best talent in the country.

I’ll also be playing in the Fireworks National Power Pool in Colorado and the PGF Nationals Premier Division in Huntington Beach, California this summer. Back in the lab at The Boom Boom Room with Coach Mika getting work in before Charlie heads into the USSSA 18U Gold Cup this weekend.

No shortcuts. No days off. Just reps, adjustments, confidence, and preparation.

Most 13-year-olds aren’t asking to play up against 18U competition… but Charlie’s never been afraid of hard. Every lesson, every swing, every bullpen, every late night is building toward something bigger.

Grateful for coaches like Mika Garcia-Carr who continue pouring into her development and helping her grow not just as a player, but as a competitor.

Charlie got some elite first base work in today with her new fielding coach, Coach Brody Westmoreland — former professional infielder in the New York Mets organization.

The difference at that level is in the details. Footwork. Angles. Glove presentation. Pace around the bag. Learning how to slow the game down while speeding your reactions up.

When you want to compete at a high level, you learn from people who’ve lived it. Charlie’s continuing to put in the work behind the scenes to sharpen every part of her game.
