@lawrencekitema I don't understand
The man is clearly at fault but yall blame the woman for reacting to what the man did
He clearly threw a fan at her first but unna no go talk about that one o, bunch of hypocrites, men at this woman are that, both are at fault but the man started it 🤦🏻♂️ clearly
@iamtolufx Notes taken
1. Don't take trades alone have another source of income or you will be forced to take unnecessary trades and loses
2. Mental barriers I love this that alot cos I can relate
3. Risk to reward, someone who risk 20% and 0.5% have diff RR and amount of trades dey take
NEVER MAKE THIS MISTAKE I MADE!! 🚨
Let me be real with you all…
If I could go back to when I was starting out, this is one thing I would fix immediately, because it nearly cost me so much.
There was a time I kept missing clean, valid setups… setups that went on to hit 1:3RR and even 1:5RR. Not because they weren’t clear, but because I wanted more. I let my ‘small capital mindset’ hold me back from taking what the market was already offering.
A $1,000 account growing to $5,000 is the same as turning $10 into $50.
Growth is growth.
But many of us overlook it because it doesn’t look big enough. We downplay consistent wins because we’re chasing “life-changing” profits in one trade, and that’s where we go wrong.
Yesterday during my end-of-week session with my students, I emphasized this:
Take what the market gives you.
Don’t try to squeeze every last pip out of a trade.
If your setup gives you 1:3 or 1:5, that is already a good trade.
Your job is not to catch the whole move, your job is to execute your plan and get paid.
Respect your level.
Respect your capital.
Respect the process.
One good trade won’t change your life, but many good trades, taken consistently, will.
📌 FOREX CONVERSATIONS — EPISODE 40
The Dangers of Validation Seeking
Growing up, we were applauded for doing things right.
Good grades.
Discipline.
Achievement.
Applause became associated with progress.
But trading is different.
In this system, right can temporarily look wrong.
The only thing that truly validates you is the algorithm not the audience.
And if you don’t moderate the need for validation, it quietly becomes a weapon of self-sabotage.
Let’s be clear seeking validation does not make you weak or ignorant. We all appreciate recognition. It gives a sense of accomplishment.
The danger lies in excess.
When unmanaged, validation seeking shifts your priorities.
You stop focusing on process and start performing for perception.
Many traders work hard.
They journal.
They study.
They refine their entries.
But the sabotage begins when they forget their timeline, their structure, their starting point and begin seeking approval from public opinion.
Your strengths and weaknesses live within you.
Not in comments.
Not in likes.
Not in someone else’s results.
Here’s how validation seeking destroys traders:
• It ruins capital building you rush to keep up instead of growing at your pace.
• It damages your portfolio you delay taking profit trying to outperform someone you saw online.
• It kills profit scaling you overreach beyond your skill level just to match appearances.
• It weakens conviction you abandon your system to chase random strategies.
• It derails your purpose you copy templates instead of building what fits you.
• It destroys confidence comparison replaces discipline.
• It corrupts your process shortcuts replace structure.
And when shortcuts replace structure, instability becomes your identity.
You become the trader who never finds stability always chasing, never compounding.
Your journey becomes twice as hard not because trading is impossible, but because you chose applause over process.
Solutions:
• Focus on process. Results are a byproduct.
• Reduce the urge for instant gratification it fuels validation seeking.
• Silence public noise. Strengthen private conviction.
• Build quietly. Scale gradually. Mature internally.
Now ask yourself:
Which form of validation seeking has affected your trading journey?
And what will you change?
If this shifted your mindset, let me know in the comments.
I hope this helps a trader out there.
Trade with conviction. 🍀
