"One of the largest true process-based stream restoration projects (not an engineered system) in a mega-urban environment in the country... Truly exceptional in size and quality for a large city and will be a showcase for what can be done to restore urban environments." - Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) #EarthMonth

Here are two examples of how #attentionspan can help students exercise agency and begin to take control of their attention. Psychologist @GloriaMark_PhD encourages young people to think about how their “future selves” would encourage them to use their time and attention.
@sstollar6 Yes! We know how critical relationships are in schools, yet teachers receive little to no formal training on how to effectively build relationships with their students. I do this work. We’ve published on it as well.
In 1963, John Coltrane was inspired to write “Alabama” after hearing MLK’s moving words in response to this awful act that killed Denise McNair and three other girls. It’s a beautiful song that communicates both sadness and determination. Out of a tragic event, he created beauty.
