If you want to make the most progress you've ever made in your life, you need to be alone. You need an extended period of isolation, not influenced by friends or media, spent building your future. You need space to learn, think, experiment, and fail.
Give yourself 6 months. Focus solely on the development of your mind, body, spirit, and finances. This is how you get ahead of most people.
Everything you want is on the other side of not giving a fuck, asking again, and taking another shot. Life gives you endless lottery tickets to try and you only need one win to change your life forever .
You need boredom. A lot of it. Start by going on walks without music. No stimulation. No distractions of any kind. If you learn to sit with your own thoughts, for long enough, in time they will start serving you. You'll start having ideas once again. You'll start developing an extreme sense of clarity that will shift you into the next stage of your life. All by being bored, which is pretty insane.
If you don't have a goal so meaningful it makes other people's opinions irrelevant, you will lose control of your life. You will adopt the goals assigned to you by your parents, peers, or society.
I don't know who needs to hear this but your ability to create the reality that you want is directly determined by your willingness to experience its opposite.
Saving money will have you feeling broke while it's actually making you rich.
Setting boundaries will have you feeling alone while you're creating new healthy relationships in your life.
Digging up your trauma will have you feeling broken while it's actually healing you.
Working out has you feeling weak while its really making you strong.
Learning something new makes you feel dumb while it's making you more intelligent.
Your ability to attain the thing that you want is directly correlated with how willing you are to experience its opposite. You have to be ok with being uncomfortable to truly achieve success!
You got this
Men get addicted to themselves when they’re running at 100%, then get frustrated when they’re running at less than that because they got a taste for what they can be, but are failing to be - they’re chasing their own greatness.
Consistency is king, because potential is a flirt.
if you pay attention to the patterns of your life you’ll realize everything always works out. everything always takes you to a greater destination. you always grow and the things you think you can’t survive you somehow divinely make it through. that’s life. always remember that.
Someone once told me something along the lines of "you've gotta do your best everyday, but remember that your best is going to look DIFFERENT every day". & it's one of the most healing things I've heard to this day be it reminds me not to put too much pressure on myself.
my father always told me: "if you want to go for a run, go for a run, don't look for company. sooner or later, on your fifth run or your twentieth, like-minded people will find you themselves." and only recently have i realized that this principle works everywhere.
if you are serious about growth, be serious about accountability. if you are serious about abundance, be serious about gratitude. if you are serious about intimacy, be serious about vulnerability.
if you are serious about discipline, be serious about delayed gratification.
Remember this:
even if you go for it and it doesn't work out, you still win. you had the guts to head into the unknown and try something that scared you. this type of bravery takes you places.
Speak life into others. Encourage their dreams, support their ideas. Point out their strengths, their talents, their potential. Sometimes all it takes is one person to remind us that we are capable.
