@nut_history Jason Bay threw me a ball, a young kid was near me and I assume he thought the kid was mine. I gave the ball to the kid.

Jason Heyward hit a one hopper foul, right at my chest. Loooong story associated,

However , in my son's baseball, you see runners "dancing" around the ball , with no call.
Tho it seems to affect the boys less on the field.( IME)

We had everyone pitch through the year. We found spots for them in the playoffs based on their showings.

I don't talk a lot about my coaching, but this team was something special. We sucked at the beginning of the year, I didn't know what I had , they didn't know what they were capable of. Thankfully all teams make the playoffs. We made a run that culminated into a championship. /1

We had a CF who could cover pickoffs at 2b. This led to a lot of "reindeer games " comments. But man was he effective. We rotated , so he was smart enough to know who could cover for him if needed. /5

We had a kid nap for an hour on his parents drive to the games. He liked what our league offered and tried it out. He sat 1st inning so he could wake up and eat dinner. Thanks lennix. /4
