For example, when you open your ticket or boarding pass, the screen brightens and you can't lower its intensity manually.
You might have opened the McDonald's app's wallet section, leading to this same thing.
@HuntyDraws certain apps with code scanners for rewards points will automatically increase your brightness so its easier for the cashier to scan, and so they dont have to deal with boomers not knowing how to turn the brightness up to make the code scannable
