@thefolornhope @BC_Suffolk @BritishMoths Sadly the Heather and other vegetation, and the wildlife will probably take many years to recover.

The colourful caterpillar of a Pale Tussock moth (Calliteara pudibunda) wandering in the open before winter pupation, what a beauty!

@drowsyfire No, the road to Dunwich Heath NT and café are closed for the foreseeable future, but the beach café at Dunwich village is still open at present I think

Moustache trimming on the marshes this morning 04/10/26 This pair of Beardies were clearly in love this morning. They left the group and carried on preening each other for several minutes before heading away I was so privalidged to witness it bought a tear to my eye

Today I went looking for an Osprey at Iken, Suffolk, and this time the Osprey came to me, searching constantly for fish over the estuary... such beautiful and exciting birds, always very special to me, since my first visit to volunteer at Loch Garten when I was 16! @BTO_Suffolk

[Charles Cuthbert @CRCuthbert]

@DavidWalsh22 @BirdGuides @SuffolkBirdGrp @BTO_Suffolk Hi David, Black Stork appeared around 12.45 pm high over the Alde at Iken then circled round several times, and soon disappeared down river without landing as seen from my viewpoint.

[Charles Cuthbert @CRCuthbert]

This morning I went looking for an Osprey at Iken, Suffolk, but found this Black Stork circling high over the river instead! Probably one the birds seen at various locations along the Suffolk coast since early August.

@BirdGuides @SuffolkBirdGrp @BTO_Suffolk Thanks Bil, I wasn't expecting a stork, I was hoping for an Osprey!
