"contributes to urban visual clutter and blight, adversely affects the aesthetic environment and quality of life for the community and the citizens of the city"
Shout out to everyone I’ve had a weird argument with over the past month who keeps insisting that prediction markets are reliably accurate indicators of political outcomes.
If you weren’t getting paid to say that you’re even dumber than I thought.
Polymarket releases a video montage featuring Rick Rubin, Future, and Peso Pluma, asking questions including ‘Do elections matter?’, ‘Will borders matter in 100 years?’, and ‘Do aliens exist?’ before closing with its logo and slogan, ‘Questions Are Everything,’ June 2026.
Reporter: Some members of the Jewish community, including Democratic Congressman Josh Gottheimer, were alarmed by the language you used at the rally last week, calling AIPAC monsters who move dark money.
Mamdani: I want to be very clear. We’re talking about a status quo where children are being killed on a daily basis. More than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli military since the so-called ceasefire.
Even an Al Jazeera journalist, Ahmed Wishah, was killed this past Saturday by an Israeli strike. And when I am speaking about AIPAC, I’m speaking about an organization that has been supportive of the status quo, that has fought any attempt to actually deliver safety to people not just in Palestine but, frankly, throughout much of the region.
And it is a status quo of immorality. It is one that I will not accept. And when it comes to the way in which they defend the status quo, oftentimes they defend it through direct contributions, as we are seeing right now in New York 13.
Oftentimes they also support the status quo through dark money, by funneling money that would have previously come directly from AIPAC through other organizations whose contributors’ identities are only made clear after an election.
And I think it is important that when we ask ourselves how such death and destruction is happening overseas, we also name those who allow it to take place.
“If I could snap my fingers and make generative AI disappear forever, I probably would. Creatively, I get no enjoyment from using those tools. It defeats the purpose entirely for me.” -Kane Parsons, the guy who just made A24 277.5 million dollars last month.
We can no longer sit back and allow oligarchs decide the future of AI with zero input from the American people.
That’s why I introduced the American AI Sovereign Wealth Fund Act — to give the public a direct ownership stake. https://t.co/Z5P6ZyTCys
The home of Danish privacy activist Lars Andersen was raided by masked police forces after he published his 'two favourite numbers', a 10 digit and a 8 digit number, spelled out in letters; it were the social security and phone number of Mette Frederiksen, the Prime Minister of Denmark, who wants to ban encryption (CSA) and introduce mass surveillance.
