Final project workshop was held in the period 20-21 October 2022 in Skopje (IZIIS) and Bitola with attendance of more than 50 people, not only form the partner counties (N. Macedonia, Albania, Greece & Italy) but also from the other countries form the region.

On 29th of September in EUCENTRE, Pavia (Italy) was held project workshop to demonstrate the newly developed CRISIS Platform and discuss its further needs and improvements.
WP-4/D4.1: “Harmonized regional risk exposure model” represents a model of buildings for basic services and transport infrastructures related to the targeted cross-border region between the three partner countries: N. Macedonia, Greece and Albania.
WP-3/D.3.2: “Review of existing standards, procedures and guidelines” focuses on the state-of-art collection and thorough review of current legislation both in Europe and worldwide, with special attention on the procedures and standards available in the cross-border countries.
WP-3/D.3.1: “Needs assessment of the relevant emergency and disaster management authorities” gives insight into the stakeholders requirements, their needs and expectations, emphasizing the cross-border dimensions of risk and the importance of sharing knowledge and cooperation.
WP-2/D.2.4: “Definition of inputs for risk assessment” uses the site-specific disaggregation results of D.2.2, on basis of which a selection of suitable strong-motion records is conducted, conditioned to the characteristics of the building and bridge taxonomy groups (WP-4).
WP-2/D.2.3: “Landslide hazard cross-border harmonization and mapping” focuses on the landslide hazard cross-border harmonization and mapping using the best suitable methodology for regional evaluation. For the risk assessment several landslide triggering scenarios are defined.
WP-2/D.2.2: “Seismic hazard cross-border harmonization and mapping” focuses on seismic hazard evaluation, as one of the most threatening natural hazards in the cross-border region, with a special focus on the modelling of cross border epicentral zones.
WP-2/D.2.1: “Identification of all relevant natural and human induced hazards in the cross-border region” aims to identify and map all relevant natural and human induced-hazards that exist in the cross-border region and to evaluate their frequency and risk potential.
WP-2:“Cross-border multi hazard assessment”-this package includes identification of all relevant natural and human-induced hazards in the cross-border region; seismic and landslide hazard cross-border harmonization and mapping; and definition of seismic input for risk assessment.
The main aim of this project is to strengthen the cooperation and trust between all project participating countries (N. Macedonia, Albania, Italy, and Greece) and the Union Mechanism, to improve prevention, preparedness and response to emergencies and disasters.
The main beneficiaries of the CRISIS project will be civil protection authorities and governmental agencies dealing with disasters in the cross-border region. The main results from the project will enable the managing authorities’ basis for a comprehensive response to disasters.
The expected results of CRISIS are twofold: enhanced cross-border cooperation and coordination in disaster risk management, based on up-to-date models and tools, and raising public awareness and preparedness for disasters.

The project is to be realized through 4 main activities:
1. Identification of the most damaging natural and human-induced hazards.
2. Review of the existing legislation.
3. Risk assessment of basic services and transport infrastructure.
4. Development of a web-based platform.
The main objective of CRISIS is to provide a qualitative basis for the development of a collaborative approach for prevention and preparedness for disaster risk management in cross border countries N. Macedonia, Greece & Albania.
