You are right to call this out. We never used the automated reminders/calls/notications to patients. In my day we simply expected patients to show up for their appointments. This was naive as we probably had 20-30% no show appointments in clinic. Inefficient use of our time. I understand the modern day technology reflecting from the expensive EMRs we also refused to adopt. Bob Dylan knew “The times they are a changing”
