1. Prohibition on share-wise sale of property
2. Granting ownership rights in re-settlement colonies
3. Extension of Lal Dora in 22 villages under CMC
4. Regularising need based changes in CMC dwellings
5. Multiple issues related to Co-operative and Group Housing Societies
With these concerns remaining unresolved for over two decades, urged the govt to give them due priority in the upcoming meeting scheduled to deliberate on issues pertaining to Chandigarh.
Mr Akash Prakash's excellent evaluation of the current state of India's equity markets. 'You cannot justify India’s valuation premium unless you are fully convinced it will deliver outperformance in both economic growth and earnings", he writes in today's column.
After a lot of Follow up with the Union Home Minister & constantly raising these issues in Parliament over past 14 months I am happy to note that the Union Home Ministry has officially asked the Chief Secretary of the Chandigarh Administration to respond to the issues that I have been raising by explicitly referring to the letter/ ‘s that I have been writing.
I do hope the Chandigarh Administration responds positively with solutions to these problems and not why it can not be done.
Interestingly the letter of 4 th August 2025 says reminder this obviously means an earlier letter by the Union Home Ministry was not responded too by the Chandigarh Administration.

I thank @hillary_victor of @HTChandigarh for reconfirming that the Chandigarh Heritage Conservation Committee is an administrative fiction without any legal basis.
It is not grounded in any statutory enactment.
While the Chandigarh Master Plan may have some basis in law a committee mentioned in the Master Plan is therefore grounded in law is a complete non-sequitur.
Even a Court of Law assigning a particular task to a particular committee is and maybe entirely within the prerogative of that court but assignment of a particular remit to a particular committee also does not clothe it with a legal character.
Conservation of Heritage is of supreme importance and therefore the Chandigarh Heritage Conservation Committee must actively apply itself to the conservation of those buildings that fall within the 13 zones identified by the Expert Heritage Committee constituted by @ShivrajPatilC at the instance of @PChidambaram_IN in 2010 and not become the final arbiter of the progress , development and growth of the City .
Cities are living and evolving entities not museum’s.
By 2075, the US is unlikely to remain the world’s largest economy. China and India will probably overtake it. Notably, Indonesia and Pakistan may be 4th and 6th, respectively.
What situation led India and Pakistan to reach a ceasefire agreement?

The recent escalation between #India and #Pakistan has drawn global attention, particularly after India launched a precision strike on 11 Pakistani airbases. Among the key targets was Kirna Hills, a hardened military storage site for both nuclear weapons and conventional ammunition, near Mushaf Airbase in Sargodha.
