Many thanks to @NCB_Cricket for the 50 overs match at @ashrugcc on Thursday. Excellent hospitality from the officials of @ashrugcc. A great game of cricket at what was a new ground for us. Again, many learning points. Excellent bowling by Zidan, who took 6 for 35 off 10 overs. 🏏

Our first defeat of the season against @DurhamCricket in what was converted to a 30 overs per side match, but many positives to take, including our fielding and bowling. Looking forward to Thursday’s fixture away to @NCB_Cricket.

Sadly, our away fixture against @StPetersYork, (which was to be played at Sheriff Hutton Bridge Cricket Club), fell victim to the weather. Next-up, two T20 matches against @DurhamCricket at @DurhamSchSport. 🙁☔️

Many thanks to @DSCC1847 for hosting the Under 15s on Tuesday. The weather just say held good, allowing for a 30 overs match. Some very good cricket played by both sides. Next game : we visit St. Peter’s School at York. 🏏

Tuesday saw the Under 15s travel to @barney_school for a 30 overs match. Despite the cold, it was a challenging game of cricket. A low scoring affair, which we won by 22 runs thanks to some excellent bowling by Messrs Don, Creed and Theaker. The benefits of targeting the stumps!

Many thanks to @SeatonCarewCC for their excellent hospitality on Bank Holiday Monday when they staged our Under 15s against our Under 14s. Some great cricket on show by both teams, with the Under 15s coming out winners by 8 wickets. Well done to both teams. 👏🏏🌞

On Monday, 4th May, 2026 the Under 15s host a 45 overs match against our Under 14s. Stumps pitched at 11am at @SeatonCarewCC. A great opening fixture for both sides. Hopefully, the weather plays its part and the weather is good!🤞🏏

First outdoor session for 2026 completed for the Under 15s at @Sedgefield_CC. Thanks to Mike for sorting. The session focussed on fielding drills. Despite the cold, some great high catches taken! 🏏🥶

And that’s the Winter programme completed for this year’s Under 15s. Sessions done at @HighTunstallPE, the Dodgeball Centre and Evolve. Coaches looking forward to seeing how players perform in the various matches arranged for their final year of CSCA representative cricket. 🤞🏏

Saturday saw our first of three fitness sessions at Evolve completed. Although low on numbers due to holidays, Scotty certainly put the attending players through their paces. Well done to the attending players, plus Chappy. Next week’s session will be a little tougher! 👏

Our four training sessions at the Dodgeball Centre were successfully completed. Well done to the attendees. Some great improvements in skills shown over the four sessions held. Great attitudes and team work also shown by all. Well done! 👏
