I was honored to serve on a diverse panel of experts during the ‘First There First Care’ EMS Conference to discuss post-incident crisis and community trust.
The City of Coral Springs prides itself on being responsive to issues. We can't always make everyone happy, but we do try our best to react and resolve problems.
few weeks ago we held a youth mock commission. Parents were able to witness their children run and participate in a Commission meeting. This was a great and memorable experience. Our city staff did an amazing job putting this on for our students.
Last week, we held our Visioning Summit at the Museum of Art. The stars of the summit were the residents in attendance. As Commissioners, we listened to the suggestions and comments that will set our city on a continued path of greatness.
Last Saturday, we participated in the 2nd annual Coral Springs Campout. Temperature got as low as 50 degrees!
Always cool to share memories with the people of Coral Springs.
Last week, we honored our 60th Anniversary Ambassadors with a reception and recognition during our Commission meeting. These wonderful folks volunteered throughout 2023 as we held multiple events to commemorate this milestone.
Our volunteers make our city better every day!
At the @leagueofcities most recent City Summit in Atlanta, GA. Coral Springs was given an award for being a dedicated member of the organization for 50 years! As a Boardmember for NLC, I am happy to continue our relationship as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of NLC!
A choir takes the stage at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts in 2001 in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The 2001 event marked the 10th Anniversary of the city's ceremony to honor the life and legacy of Dr. King. #HistoryCS
Yesterday, we welcomed the newest public art installation to the City of Coral Springs.
The Living Story of Coral Springs was sculpted by Casto Solano and this piece is dedicated to the city's 60th Anniversary.
While we had to cancel tonight's Holiday Parade, my absolute favorite event, I did enjoy spending time with all the families of Coral Springs.
I can't wait to see you all again!
Happy Holidays Everyone!
Happy to report that I was reelected to serve another term as a Board of Director for the National League of Cities at the City Summit annual conference held this past week in Atlanta, GA.
Yesterday, baby Jordan and I participated in Read for the Record at Westchester Elementary School.
We had a good time reading "With Lots of Love" by Jenny Torres Sanchez. Lots of Spanish palabras so I'm glad I've been brushing up!
Got some of my friends together to play some flag football.
Shout out to the @coralspringsfl Marketing and Communications department for this recap video.
More vids and pictures to come. We had a time!
We all deserve to make an impression on our future. I urge you to take the Vision 2035 survey, which helps provide a framework for our city’s planning: https://t.co/jBfywG1EFn
