🎉🥁 HUGE Congratulations to our CSHS Percussion Ensemble! 🥁🎉

Our incredible students earned 4th place in the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) Concert Chamber Ensemble Percussion Contest (CCEPC) — High School Division! 🌟

They performed White Pines from the Home Trilogy by Michael Burritt… and even grabbed a great photo with Mr. Burritt himself and our five outstanding musicians! 📸🌲

This achievement is truly remarkable for so many reasons — here are two big ones:

1️⃣ CSISD History Made!
This is the first time ever that any CSISD ensemble has competed at this prestigious PASIC contest… and they walked away with 4th place among elite groups from around the world! 🌍🔥
2️⃣ Unstoppable Dedication!
This performance came immediately after their appearance with the Mighty Cougar Band at the UIL 5A State Marching Contest. Talk about stamina, focus, and excellence! 💪🏽🎶

We are incredibly proud of these high-achieving musicians and all-around terrific young people for representing CSHS and CSISD on an international stage with such class and artistry. 💜🤍

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of these exceptional CSISD Orchestra students:

🎻 Sawa Miyamoto (Violin)
All-State Philharmonic Orchestra
Overall Rank: 75 in the State!

🎻 Cynthia Kuo-Lo (Violin)
Cynthia is officially the 35th BEST violinist in the entire State of Texas and has earned a spot in the TMEA All-State Symphony Orchestra!
This is her third consecutive year to earn All-State honors—an extraordinary accomplishment!

🎻 Michael Wu (Cello)
Michael is the 25th BEST cellist in Texas and has been selected for the TMEA All-State Philharmonic Orchestra!

💫 Since audition music was released in May, these students have shown a commitment, work ethic, and musicianship that many adults envy. Their dedication is inspiring, and their talent is undeniable!

In February 2026, they will spend three incredible days in intense rehearsals with master conductors at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention, culminating in their All-State performances on Saturday, February 14th.

Mrs. McNeel and Mr. Hooper are beyond thrilled and extremely proud of these amazing musicians! 🎶💙🤍

🎵 Tiger and Cougar Pride in Austin! 🎵

This past weekend, both the A&M Consolidated High School and College Station High School Bands represented CSISD at the Vista Ridge Marching Contest in Austin!

In prelims, AMCHS placed 1st overall and 1st in Music—an incredible achievement! Both bands advanced to finals, with CSHS finishing 7th and AMCHS earning 4th place overall.

🎨✨ What an unforgettable day for our Greens Prairie 2nd graders! ✨🎨

Students got to step into the world of the famous French artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir. The Renoir archivist shared stories about Renoir’s life, his art, and his unique approach to painting and printmaking. Inspired, our students painted their own beautiful vases of flowers—just like Renoir! 🌸🖌️

And then… a once-in-a-lifetime surprise!
Madam Renoir, widow of Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s youngest grandson, Paul Renoir, visited the students, greeted them personally, and placed the official Renoir seal on each child’s painting. 🕊️
There is only one Renoir stamp in the world, and it belongs to her estate. Now, each of our students has a truly special connection to the Renoir legacy. 💫

Congratulations to Pecan Trail Theatre for Achieving Exemplary Status in the Texas Educational Theatre
Association’s Award of Distinction. The award recognizes individual schools and districts that are
making outstanding contributions to raising standards for theatre education through achievement, curation
of resources, diversity, and advocacy for theatre arts.
The Texas Educational Theatre Association (TxETA) proudly congratulates Pecan Trail Intermediate for earning
the Exemplary level in the 2025 Award of Distinction Program. This prestigious recognition
highlights schools that demonstrate outstanding commitment to fostering theatre education and
participation in their communities.

The Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) announced the 109
winners of the 2025 District of Distinction Award. Among the list of honorees is College Station ISD. The districts received the honor for providing a well-rounded education that
advocates and integrates visual arts curriculum to inspire creativity and build social
emotional learning that connect learners to their community and beyond.
