Excited to share our latest paper in JCS-Japan on the selective ethanol sensing of Co-substituted SmFe₁₋ₓCoₓO₃ perovskite oxides!
In this study, we demonstrated that Co substitution induces hole doping and oxygen vacancy formation, enabling lower operating temperatures (250 °C) with high ethanol selectivity over toluene. DFT calculations also revealed that oxygen vacancies selectively enhance ethanol adsorption.
