Launching

Peninah Malonza: Utalii was our premier college for hospitality, and although it has gone down a little, I’m bringing it back to the level it was at. One of the biggest challenges is on curriculum; we are reviewing the curriculum #JKLive@KoinangeJeff
Peninah Malonza: Kenya has exported quite a lot of labour, especially in the hospitality sector. If we strategically position ourselves, we are going to have a niche in exporting labour out of this country, and I think that is an area we can do well #JKLive@KoinangeJeff

Peninah Malonza: The ‘shoot to kill’ law on poachers is not very effective in the country, but of course, as a result of our vigilance, we have seen very low cases of poaching in the country; 18 cases since 2020 compared to 213 #JKLive@KoinangeJeff
Peninah Malonza, CS Tourism: Majority of our clientele are coming from traditional markets; US is leading followed by UK. We have seen quite a number of emerging markets like China and Middle East that are coming aboard #JKLive@KoinangeJeff
Peninah Malonza, CS Tourism: I was the Deputy Governor before in Kitui County and now I am the CS in the national level. For me there is no much difference but only in terms of the management and scope #JKLive@KoinangeJeff
Peninah Malonza, CS Tourism: We have really worked hard for the last 4 months. I think I am the CS who has really cruised this country. We have done a lot #JKLive@KoinangeJeff
Peninah Malonza, CS Tourism: We are attracting a clientele of tourists who can spend a little bit more. For us we’ve gone for lower numbers that can spend more within the country. We are looking at quality and not quantity #JKLive@KoinangeJeff
