.@NCTC_Kenya convened stakeholders in Kitui County from 26–28 May 2026 to review and align the County Action Plan (CAP) with the #NSPCVE.
The workshop brought together government officials, security actors, civil society organisations, youth representatives, religious leaders, and community groups to strengthen local efforts in preventing and countering violent extremism.
Discussions focused on adapting national priorities to Kitui’s context, assessing progress made under the outgoing CAP, identifying emerging challenges, and developing a more responsive and inclusive action plan. Participants also explored ways to strengthen coordination, enhance early warning and response mechanisms, and promote meaningful engagement of youth, women, and community leaders.
The review marks an important step towards building resilient communities through evidence-based, locally driven solutions and a whole-of-society approach to PCVE.

.@NCTC_Kenya, through the Kenya – @EUinKenya Partnership Programme, convened an Interministerial #PCVE Forum in Nairobi to strengthen Kenya’s #DDRR (Disengagement, Deradicalization, Rehabilitation and Reintegration) framework and its implementation.
The forum brought together key government stakeholders to examine policy and practice, identify critical gaps, and advance coordinated inter-agency approaches to rehabilitation and reintegration.
Deliberations emphasized the need for strengthened institutional coordination, enhanced community engagement, and context-responsive interventions to support sustainable reintegration and reduce the risk of recidivism.
