So the @NCCAie extended the introduction of the Maths Specification for people 'to wait and see the outcome of consultation'.
And as part of that consultation they sent a seconded history teacher to explain maths to maths teachers.
Guess how that went.

Experts raise alarm over ‘dangerous’ fertility add-ons in Ireland
“Meaningless”, “dangerous” or ineffective add-on treatments are being marketed and sold by fertility clinics to couples desperate to have children, according to an RTE investigates program. The add-ons promise to increase the chances of a woman conceiving, but there is little to no evidence to back up the claims.
Undercover researchers filmed at this year’s Future Fertility Show in Dublin encountered the widespread promotion of several add-ons that have been rated red by the UK regulator.
This means that they have both potential safety concerns and also may reduce the effectiveness of IVF treatment.
However, unlike in the UK, while doctors here are regulated by the Medical Council, there is no independent statutory regulator overseeing fertility treatment.
Caitríona Fitzpatrick of NISIG, Ireland’s national infertility charity, said the fertility sector needs more policing as people struggling to have a baby are often desperate for a solution.
“Fertility is one of the hardest areas for people to spot misinformation on because the people looking at it are under such stress and they’re such a vulnerable group. But it has one of the highest levels of misinformation,” Ms Fitzpatrick said.
Attendance @synodalpathway Males 52% and Females 48%; the 52% males included the 27% clergy + 24% laymen; of Kerry delegation of 8, clergy comprised 50% and laywomen 50% with no laymen! Surely Sunday’s vote was to allow laymen a voice? @IrishCathNews@Independent_ie
@synodalpathway@dublindiocese But why did the Mission of Irish Catholic Schools and the role of parents as educators receive so little attention in the Papers for the Synodal Meeting? Why did the original papers marginalise non-ordained males?
The Holy See has just released photographs of the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, offering the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in his room in Rome’s Gemelli Hospital this morning. Please continue to pray for him.
Watch: Julieann Moran and Fr Declan Hurley discuss the 'Working Document for the Irish National Synodal Assembly' and what lies ahead as delegates prepare to gather in Gormanston, Co Meath, on Saturday 17 October.
We invite you to watch the conversation, engage with the Working Document, pray with it and reflect on the question at the heart of our synodal journey: 'What does God want from the Church in Ireland at this time?'
As we approach the Synodal Assembly, please also keep all those who will gather in Gormanston in your prayers.

So much of what Fr McMahon has written in today’s @IrishCathNews coincides with my own submission of last week to the Diocese of Kerry delegation for this weekend’s @synodalpathway. How can the tiny group involved in this process seem so put of touch with the 98%?
And none of them have children. Two of them are LGBTQI+. In my honest opinion, anyone in a Minister for Children role should have skin in the game - they should be a mother or father.
Beautiful surprise at Mass in Ealing Abbey today. 350 or so 14 yer olds on day retreat from my first teaching school (1972) @WisemanEaling. Parishioners were in awe at the grace and positivity of the @RCWestminster students. Well done @CathEdService.
@ExCllrRedmond Nobody’s listening to these gobshites anymore, for example I listen to your podcast yesterday with Sarah , there are alternative media . These people in the indo Rte etc are just stupid gobshites and they are becoming more and more irrelevant
Fake news alert: "Corless was the amateur historian who discovered the bodies of almost 800 babies and young children dumped in a septic tank by the nuns who were meant to be caring for them." https://t.co/FACK7Wc4WF
https://t.co/qX77bxRhyR Thanks @IrishCathNews for this article in which Fr Eamonn Conway asks all the right questions of Irish Catholic Bishops' Conference members who seem to ignore their responsibilities as Chief Teachers in their dioceses and certainly in Canon Law
Child benefit stays at €140 while daycare gets greater support, leaving parents who care for their children at home questioning where they fit.
