Dr Godfrey Kangaude presented his new book titled 'Childhood Sexuality and Law: A Feminist Critique from a Malawian Context' (2026). The book is published by Pretoria University Law Press (PULP).
The book examines how law constructs children as sexual subjects, particularly within the Malawian context. Using feminist poststructuralist theory, Kangaude critiques ideas around childhood innocence, gender, sexual agency, responsibility, protection, and harm.
