October is 🎀 BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH 🎀 Breast cancer is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the breast tissue. The risk factors include: age, genetic mutations, & more. 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.

💜 September is ALZHEIMER’S AWARENESS MONTH 💜

In Alzheimer’s, brain cells over time lose connection & eventually die which leads to loss of memory. S/S associated with this disease is memory loss & confusion. No cure exists but there are medications to help manage the condition
