Of the 38,739 new HIV diagnosis in the U.S. and dependent areas in 2017, 21% of that population were youth aged 13 to 24. HIV is a virus that attacks the immune system. The only way you know you have HIV is to be tested. Everyone aged 13 to 64 should be tested at least once.
