Uniform administration of elections should be protected by the Wisconsin Constitution. Voters deserve equal access and ballots should be handled the same whether in Wauwatosa or Wautoma, Madison or Minocqua.

If this was Scott Walker instead of Tony Evers, this story would be a headline story in every newspaper across the State every single day. Since it is Evers however, there is relative silence and apologist coverage.https://t.co/M62gNdeG7p
Voting is a fundamental right. I’ll continue to support free, fair, and secure elections so that all eligible Wisconsinites can participate in our democracy.
I’m excited to say that our economy is stronger than when I first took office. Our workforce participation rate is exceeding the national average, and we continue to have a record low unemployment rate.
And this is where the dishonest nature of this group came into play.
The Evers maps did, in fact, contain numerous examples of partisan gerrymandering -- and this group helped provide cover to the Gover.
Here is an example we've used in the past of an Evers gerrymander.
@Tony4WI Didn't you:
1) Propose massive tax hikes,
2) Try to cancel an election, and
3) Get taken to court because you wanted to shut down main street businesses for months longer than you already had?
#WIRIGHT
People who believe that the maps drawn by the Republican legislatures were a gerrymander and that the maps drawn by @GovEvers were not need to rethink things. That belief is either naive or partisan.
Jan 19th🧵 from @CSWisconsin explores why the Evers' map had fatal flaws leaving the leg plan as the best remaining alternative before the court.
I have previously outlined flaws in the leg plan, but noted they are not fatal. Thus, the success chance of DEM appeal is very low.
NEW: Wisconsin Supreme Court selects legislature's maps. "the maps proposed by the Wisconsin Legislature are race neutral. ...we adopt the state senate and assembly maps proposed by the Legislature for the State of Wisconsin."

The only way to ensure long-term uniform administration of election laws (regardless of which party controls the legislature or Governor's office) is to amend the State Constitution. See more about our Election Integrity Initiative here: https://t.co/RsBRb0zcdh
He tweets this. He says this.
Yet, Governor Evers' redistricting scheme (since rejected by the US Supreme Court) split 115 municipalities. Far more than other maps submitted.
Building for Wisconsin's future is my top priority. That’s why we’ve taken a localized, regional approach to solve problems. We’re tackling each community’s unique challenges with community-based solutions.

"It (evers' map) is still better than the one submitted by GOP Legislature"
No, it's not.
Let's go back and review some of the numbers we shared with you back in December and January.
Here's our analysis of Governor Evers' secretly-crafted redistricting maps, which (after ignoring his own commission's work) he submitted to the Wisconsin Supreme Court last week. Warning, this 🧵 will be at least a dozen tweets long.
@shuga_c And Evers absolutely did not produce a least change map. Municipal splits galore and extreme movement in Milwaukee County. As we've discussed at length here.
SCOTUS rejects Gov. Evers state legislative maps. To this day we don't know who drew the maps and what directions they were given. His plan was the most secretive redistricting scheme in Wisconsin history.
The key takeaways from his hypocrisy:
Evers' super-secret submission is not a least change map.
Even if it were, it is inferior to the Legislative plan on the other redistricting criteria.
The Evers plan threatens 30 yrs of progress on minority representation in the Legislature.
