@carolvorders What about MPs doing their bit....not having a pay rise, removing subsidised bar and restaurant from Houses of Parliament, a complete overhaul of the expenses system....there's so much they COULD do that shows they are helping sort the mess out
@carolvorders I honestly thought he was talking about his batchelor pad in London. The little ยฃ4million quid one in South Brompton he uses as a family and friends guest house because he lives in one of his other properties in his portfolio
@TrainManTim @implausibleblog The term 'affordable housing' is often misinterpreted to mean at a purchasable price but actually cover at an affordable rent which basically means social housing. So it covers both. Often building contractors will sell the affordable housing to social landlords who let them out
I really don't understand Conservatives? They are a mystery to me? One on the news this evening ....I want tax cuts...but not at the expense of public services??? Erm.....
@jessphillips The whole system needs a shake up, caring needs to be professionalise with salaries with structure that rewards in social care and a good look at what's provided by who, integrating charities more as suggested in the NHS 5 year plan.
@carolvorders Will it actually translate at the polling station though? My guess is that it won't and Lib Dems will make considerable gains as people will bottle out of voting Labour when the push comes to shove..... I guess we'll see but anything has got to be better than the Selfservatives
@YvetteCooperMP People need hope ...hope of a better future. At the moment all the UK can offer is a worse future. If kids have no realistic chance of moving up then we end up with a lawless society. 10 years of austerity cutting children's services, youth clubs etc has led to this
