Two brilliant new MPs heading to Westminster in @ChrisMurray2010 and @LukeMLabour. Always love to see friends and fab former colleagues doing great things. Enjoy the celebrations (and then when you start the job and want to chat HE policy, you know where I am 🤓)

Are you an undergraduate interested in working in the think tank sector?
Join us on Wednesday 28 February at 4pm for a webinar covering how to apply for jobs in the sector and what a day in the life of a think tanker looks like!

We at @QAAtweets have put together a webpage on ChatGPT, listing relevant QAA guidance, upcoming QAA events, but also external resources, events and articles from across the sector - acting as a single repository of useful information on the topic https://t.co/NF0aNk33np
New House of Lords Industry and Regulators Committee inquiry, "The work of the Office for Students" 👀
Good opportunity to reflect on HE regulation, what's working well and what could work better. Something to keep me occupied this month at least🤓

Do you want to find solutions to society’s biggest problems? Have you considered working for a think tank?
To contribute to achieving greater representation, we have got together with similar organisations to hold a webinar for undergrads interested in working in the sector.
Proof will, of course, be in the pudding and I think there are places where this can go further, but hopefully this represents the start of a helpful and constructive dialogue between regulator and sector on how we can get to more effective and efficient regulation.
New independent research on provider engagement with @officestudents makes for interesting reading. Lots I think we already knew was the provider's experience, but useful evidence to build our understanding further and some helpful recommendations. https://t.co/gTP8RMowMF
Good to see OfS reflecting and acting on some of these too. A refreshed approach to consultations is welcome, more engagement opportunities good, and clearer signposting to contacts and guidance helpful.

Really interesting work from @Jisc on how universities are implementing and developing digital strategies. What's needed for successful digital transformation? How might digital change and expand provision? How do you develop a digital strategy?
What does a university need to be successful in digital? We interviewed ten digital leaders from UK universities in our latest report🎙 https://t.co/Dxrlyva2Sy
We are delighted to be working with @GuildHE & @UniversitiesUK to deliver the ‘Academic Governance project’ exploring good practice, leading to an update of the framework for Boards to assess their own effectiveness. https://t.co/Cw0xV7I5zZ

Great sessions so far #UUKteaching@UUKevents. Looking forward to chairing a breakout session shortly on student partnerships in teaching and learning. We've got some fab panellists to hear from.
Regulator-regulatee relationships are complex and varied, Julia says.
How regulatees respond to regulation is shaped by multiple factors, including how regulators interact with them.
#QAA25
Julia urges us to reflect on what we are trying to achieve through a regulatory system. Regulation is about changing behaviours to meet a certain set of outcomes (defined as good).
The dynamic between the regulator and those who are regulated is critical to its success. #QAA25
@SallyBurtonshaw@jonathansimons@Jess_Lister Congratulations! This is exciting news! HE policy people drinks in the WH area needs to happen before you leave so that we can celebrate your new role. (A useful nudge for me to email people.)
