There are numerous issue in connection with the demise of the strategic nuclear arms control regime, and there is no quick fix solution available. Uncertainty will increase, and strategic stability will be more fragile, but we must not give up the search for some new regime further ahead.
Last week, SIPRI Director Karim Haggag, Deputy Director @CSparre and Researcher @gretchenbaldwin met with @irenefellin, @NATO ’s Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security, to discuss the intersections between @NATOWPS priorities and SIPRI’s work on WPS and conflict management. The discussion focused in particular on Ukraine, including the roles of Ukrainian women in the conflict.
