It's easy to shut down the Holy Spirit's inner flow. Avoiding that requires me to make ongoing conscious decisions to deny myself, take up my cross daily, and be Spirit-led rather than being led by my own subjectivity.

The Bible tells me not to quench the Holy Spirit. If I'm not careful, it's very easy for me to ignore the God the Spirit and do what I want instead of what He is prompting me to do.

I have often been in Christ-focused meetings where the Spirit of God releases various gifts through different people as they minister to one another. When that happens, awe fills the room.

At various times, He has given me gifts such as: a word of knowledge, a word of wisdom, faith, healing, miracles, prophetic words, the ability to recognize spirits, and the ability to pray in unknown languages and even to interpret them.

The Holy Spirit flows from deep within me like rivers of living water. He delights me with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

God the Holy Spirit is experiential, not theoretical. He resides inside me objectively and guides me away from my subjective thoughts, feelings, and desires by His inner prompting. He draws my focus away from myself by keeping my heart ablaze with love and adoration for Jesus.

I have a priest who helps me with my goals. I go to Him regularly for confession, comfort, advice, and a listening ear. I recommend that everyone go to my Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ. Learn more about my Priest in the Bible in Hebrews: 2:17, 3:1, 4:14, 5:5, 7:24-25, 8:1, 9:12.

My number one goal is to listen to, follow, and obey the risen Jesus more and more every day so that people can see Him living in and through me and experience His presence, power, truth, and love in all that I say and do. I believe pursuing that goal is the reason I am alive.

I love to express what I feel called to say. Writing helps me to open up my heart and do that. I hope that what I write helps you in some way. I hope it makes you think, encourages you, or inspires you. I hope you know I respect your right to a different point of view.

The freedom of speech is misunderstood. The right to bear arms doesn't give you the right to shoot people for disagreeing with you. Freedom of speech doesn't give you the right to blast someone with insults just because they disagree with you.

My daily goal is to be kind in all my thoughts, words, writing, and actions. I don't always achieve it, but I always want to. Another goal is to notice when I have said, done, or written something unkind and quickly apologize. If I have ever been unkind to you please forgive me.
