I don’t have any fight left in me anymore. It’s been years of chaos and my adrenals are beyond fatigued. I’m going to focus on my family right now and carry on.
Two of the most qualified women in the country ran for president against an unqualified, racist game show host who had a history of committing fraud and sexual abuse. And the country was basically split 50-50. That should tell us some things.
Lots of people are going to be asking, “How can someone vote for a man like him?”
First, it’s because he’s a man.
Second, they love not having to hide who they really are anymore.
May we one day return to a presidential election in which millions of Americans may be disappointed by the outcome, but they’re not terrified that democracy will die and hard-fought freedoms will be torn away.
It took several days to count every ballot in 2020, and it’s very likely we won’t know the outcome tonight either. So please keep a few things in mind as you make your voice heard today:
– Thousands of election workers around the country are working hard today. Respect them. Thank them.
– Don’t share things before checking your sources.
– Let the process run its course. It takes time to count every ballot.
