@bob_connelly Aidan and I worked on our jokes over lunch the other day! Ready for when we cross paths again! Thank you so much for such a lovely rotation.
Highest Yield Peds Learning As A CC3: Paw Patrol characters + Popsicle locations + Sticker locations + COPC Duck Hunt tips.
Going to miss this rotation, the px., and all the amazing staff (not the VURTI symptoms though)!
One of the most useful pieces of advice we were given in C1 was to read up on our patients the day before…this was excellent until I entered well newborn and the day before my patients aren’t actually born! … Birthday parties and cute babies all around 🤍
Today the paramedic who handed off to my team was one of my good friends from undergrad at Guelph. We learned EMR together, and now both get to study/practice in our dream fields. Hands down one of the most special moments in my training thus far.

Last summer @ tri practice we “swam to that (allegedly docked) boat” which was actually moving away. We were frustrated b/c it wasn’t getting closer but really we had swam farther than intended. I feel like progress can be like this too 💛 The boat is moving but so is the team.
Urgent: In order to continue to provide high-quality, reliable urgent care, despite significant and ongoing physician and staff shortages, KHSC has planned to temporarily reduce the hours of its Urgent Care Centre at the Hotel Dieu Hospital site this weekend. #ygk
This weekend we got to swim, bike, run, eat Kawartha ice cream, sleep on couches, do carpool karaoke, and demolish more pasta than Italy can keep up with. My heart is so warm, my legs are so sore, and my stomach is so full ☺️ #gratitude
Today during finals studying I reviewed the fact that guns in the home are an independent RF for suicide completion, while simultaneously another US school shooting was occurring. If these 2 separate reasons aren't enough I don't know what ever will be 😭
