[Love is INDEPENDENCE.] Being I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T in your relationships means you have the freedom to be your own person, make your own choices, and enjoy your own things. Itβs a bonus to share these things with others, not a necessity. #TeenDVAwareness#FYBY
[Love is ACCEPTANCE.] You can accept someone without agreeing. You can acknowledge and listen to them without passing judgement or trying to change them. Acceptance is a key trait in a #HealthyRelationship. #ForYouByYou#TeenDVAwareness
SISD has decided to cancel all classes for the day. Numerous power outages for staff and students was the deciding factor. Thank you for your patience as we work through these challenges.
Love is [TRUST]. Trust is mutual, follow your instincts about the other person, consistent behaviors also help maintain trust. Be there physically and emotionally. Trust is a choice, it takes time. Making assumptions based on past relationships isnβt fair.
[Love is SUPPORT] The importance of support in your relationships comes in clutch. This is interpreted as βbeing there for one another, doing something that may not benefit you personally but builds your relationship.β #TeenDVAwareness#ForYouByYou#DrakeSupportsYou
[Love is COMMUNICATION] According to @loveisrespect -helpful hints for open & honest conversations; make sure itβs the right time, talk face to face, do not attack, check your body language. #TeenDVAwareness#ForYouByYou
[Love is HAPPINESS.] Students agree that happiness is super important in their #HealthyRelationships. No one is happy 100% of the time, but thereβs ALWAYS time to be happy (even for a small moment).
