In the quiet of the night, candles have been lit in Lourdes for all your intentions. May the light of Christ burn brightly in every heart, bringing peace, hope, and healing.
We have gathered as the @lpoolcatholic to give thanks for the example of the life of Jack Traynor has given us through his faith, his miraculous recovery and his service to others.
@lpoolcatholic is gathering with other pilgrims to walk and pray in the torchlight procession. During the 13th apparition of the Our Lady to St Bernadette, she was instructed to tell the priests to have people come to the grotto in procession and to build a chapel there.
During Mass today, Archbishop John reminded us of the words of the Memorare
during his homily ‘O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help,
or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.’
Let the peace of God abide in our hearts. We pray especially for all affected by the atrocities in Southport a year ago today - may they know the healing peace that only God can give. May Elsie, Bebe & Alice rest in peace.
Archbishop Emeritus Malcom reminded us at Mass this morning that like St Bernadette we are all made in the image and likeness of God - we are the very dream of God. @lpoolcatholic
Catholic schools exist to place Christ at the heart of life, form disciples, serve the common good, and educate the whole person in faith, hope and love. Rooted in Gospel values, they are a vital part of the Church’s mission to the world. @lpoolcatholic#CatholicEducation
We have gathered at the Grotto this morning for Mass with Archbishop John @lpoolcatholic . Those who have asked for prayers will be especially remembered.
A real privilege to be here in Lourdes with the @lpoolcatholic pilgrimage. A joy as always to see so many former pupils, parishioners and other members of our community loving and serving others. #liverpooltolourdes2025

@CTKLiverpoolY6@CTKLiverpool_HT I cannot thank you each and every member of staff through the years that have looked after, taught and given advice to Bayleigh. I am so sad this chapter has to end, but another exciting one begins
