Love And Rockets - "The Game". ( 1985). Love and Rockets is a British alternative rock band formed in 1985 in Northampton, England. Notably, the group rose from the ashes of the legendary gothic rock band Bauhaus.
Ultravox - "Hiroshima Mon Amour". (1977). When John Foxx was the lead singer of Ultravox, the band had not yet achieved the mainstream success it would later find with Midge Ure, and it did not place any tracks in the Top 40.
Bauhaus released their cover of David Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust” as a standalone single in October 1982, with “Third Uncle” on the B-side, turning the glam-rock classic into a darker, more theatrical post-punk recording. It reached No. 15 on the UK Singles Chart and spent seven weeks there, becoming the band’s highest-charting single.
The video was filmed in the tunnels under Camden Market, staged as a mock gig. Bowie later said it was a shock to hear anyone else sing the song and that he did not think the cover was especially successful, a cooler reaction than the praise often attributed to him. Even so, Bauhaus’s version remains one of the most distinctive Bowie reinterpretations, replacing the original’s glitter with the band’s own theatrical gloom.
Suicide - "Ghost Rider". (1977). Suicide is an American minimalist electronic rock duo formed in New York in 1970 by vocalist Alan Vega and keyboardist Martin Rev. In 1977, they released their self-titled debut album, Suicide, on Red Star Records.
On October 7, 1978, at the Palazzo del Cinema in Venice, Kraftwerk introduced themselves to the Italian audience with a performance of "The Robots" from their album The Man-Machine.
