We’re #nowhiring! Norwich CTU is looking to appoint a Senior Research Associate to work on a unique NIHR-funded grant focussing on the inclusion of disabled people in clinical trials. The PRACTICALs study is a new collaboration between Norwich CTU, UEA and Disability Rights UK.

A really interesting and informative session on eTMFs which included a look at how 3 different CTUs (Diabetes Trials Unit, @nottingham_CTU, & @HullTrialsUnit) have approached the issue(s)!

Lots to mull over for everyone.

Really interesting session lead by our exhibitors (Zeesta @kazemr, @Box, @eSignHQ& @OpenClinica.

Great to hear more about what they are doing – and to help them understand more about the non-commercial clinical trials space.

Brilliantly clear comparison of methods for identifying trial participants amongst large populations and with complex in-/ex-clusion criteria, from Renaud Schiappa at #ICTMC2024

P-553 is my conference favourite. Bravo @alicem_toader

I'm no statistician but the keynote from @Deborah_Ashby on Bayesian approaches to RCTs is an #ICTMC2024 highlight

[Molly Byrne @MollyByrneIre]

@collins_most introducing the importance of an alternative research paradigm to the classical approach - aka RCTs - if we want to advance knowledge, the MOST framework, in her brilliant opening keynote address at #ICTMC2024 @cadio_nyu @hbcrg

[Head of Data Management @CTUDM]

Excellent #ICTMC2024 Keynote by
@collins_most ‐ significantly reduced recruitment targets seems a massive positive for the multiphase optimisation strategy (MOST) outlined

[Prof Alice Roberts💙 @theAliceRoberts]

Lots of mis/disinformation about healthcare spending floating around on here, so I'm just putting this out there.

Looking for a career in #clinicaltrials with a @UKCTUNetwork-registered academic CTU? We're #nowhiring two clinical trial assistants. If you're looking to gain experience working in a variety of prestigious research studies, these could be for you... https://t.co/KDnSd1tq3j

Our Head of DM, @ctudm, has been a major contributor to new @UKCTUNetwork guidance for CTUs undertaking the archiving of electronic data, under the aegis of their Data and IS Operations Group (DISOG). You can download this guidance, and lots more, from https://t.co/t65HGmwF3T

[Head of Data Management @CTUDM]

AI / ML has been a hot topic at #acdm24, perhaps the hottest. Good to see Cristina Fenandez of Science4Tech pushing AI as a means of conducting trials *differently*, rather than as just another new tool for continuing to do things in the same old ways...

[Head of Data Management @CTUDM]

AI to generate synthetic control arms? Interesting stuff at #acdm24... But when will it percolate down from big pharma and the like, with big AI/ML budgets, to academic research, with different cost pressures?

[Head of Data Management @CTUDM]

Excellent and informative from Magdalena Breu of @medel on managing data under medical device reg's at #acdm24

[Head of Data Management @CTUDM]

Exciting to see our Academic CTU DM Expert Group's poster up at #acdm24

[Head of Data Management @CTUDM]

Interesting to hear Benedikt Von Thungen of @SANOME_'s thoughts on human digital twins @acdm24. Sounds sci-fi, probably isn't. How soon will we get there in the mainstream? 10yrs? 5?
