Books have returned to the remodelled Gratian Library @CUACanonLaw . Many thanks to our future canon lawyers for the generous help yesterday and to @FrJamesBradley for organizing it all, including the new, library-appropriate icon of Our Lady of Silence.
The newly remodeled Gratian Library at the School of Canon Law in Caldwell Hall is ready for its books (and rugs, paintings, etc.)! With the Msgr. Thomas Green reading room in honor of the late, beloved canon law scholar, priest, and gentleman. @CUACanonLaw
For those who missed yesterday’s lecture, here is an opportunity to watch a great Catholic talk on immigration and migration. Do not skip the excellent introduction and conclusion by Dean @jenkinsronny of @CUACanonLaw ⤵️
Yesterday, His Eminence, Cardinal Seán O’Malley, OFM Cap., delivered the Father James Provost Memorial Lecture, hosted by the School of Canon Law. The lecture may be viewed at the Catholic University of America Vimeo page: https://t.co/8jfrYUb7KJ

Dr. Kurt Martens of The School of Canon Law @CatholicUniv presenting now at #clsa2022 on the recent reforms of the Roman Curia in the Apostolic Constitution, Predicate Evengelium. https://t.co/K6DKlJ66sR. @CUACanonLaw
Today my graduate seminar in Canonical Sources had a tour of the Clementine Collection of rare books @CatholicUniv. Here is a magnificent manuscript of Gratian’s Decretum, written possibly as early as 1150. Another reason to study canon law @CUACanonLaw! Thank you @CUAarchives.
@canonlawsociety@CUACanonLaw The most important moment of preparation for delivering an address to the Canon Law Society of America is testing the podium to see if I will need my reading glasses! Seems I won’t, which is good since I would probably have forgotten them anyway.
Today at the #CLSA2021 Convention:
Monsignor @jenkinsronny, Dean of @CUACanonLaw, will present the keynote “From Alexander Pope to Pope Francis: The Canonical Right to Privacy in an Age of Transparency.”
Evening Prayer @ 4 pm
Keynote @ 4:30 pm
