@SpursReporter@ESPNNBA Wenby should have been given a flagrant for elbowing OKC player and should be now sitting at 3. That is more than clear and conclusive proof that Wenby is a dirty player
@espn Clear and conclusive standard? Is this an objective or subjective standard? Because if it’s an objective standard, the video clearly and conclusively shows that Wenby violently pushed Brunson’s head and slung him to the floor
@iamjoegarcia@espn Yes, but like in everything, the response has to be measured against the initial act. If someone pushes someone on the street, the response can’t be shooting the person (well, maybe in Texas it is, lol!)
@TheSteinLine NBA acknowledged a technical on Robinson in game 2 was wrong, refs also missed a blatant foul on Alvarado in that game and now say refs missed a foul but need further review to determine if flagrant. Only issue should be if flagrant 1 or 2
@EricBalchunas Having “a fistful” full of jersey should never justify violently flinging a player into the floor by the head/neck. Call a foul on Brunson or Alvarado in game 2, and a flagrant 1 or 2 on Wenby each time
@TheSteinLine NBA will not do anything to Wenby, even though he should have had 4 flagrants in postseason by now. NBA has always protected dirty players until something bad forces its hand to change course
@MikeHerndonSk1 You keep saying shove but it was not a shove. Fans are ok with a forceful shove. These was twice (Alvarado & Brunson) forcefully grabbing and flinging a player by the head-neck to the floor and then laughing about it.
@MikeHerndonSk1 Once in a while? Wenby caught on camera directing Spurs guards to beat crap out of OKC guard McCain in game 5, diving at SGA’s legs, assaulting Reid, going at the head and neck of Alvarado and Brunson in separate games. And there are many others
@Traticaster101 Wenby should have had back to back flagrant fouls for Alvarado in game 2 and Brunson and suspended. Unlike NFL that reviews film after game and assesses penalties, NBA won’t do anything. Time for Knicks enforcer to come off bench and put Wenby on his ass.
@NBA In games 2 & 3 Wenby grabbed Knicks players by head/neck, threw them to floor but no flagrant foul was called. NBA can review the film and penalize the player but it chooses not to. Refs do nothing. Time for Knicks enforcer to put Wenby on his ass!
@SpursReporter So holding a jersey justifies slamming player on ground by the head? And did you also take a closer look at Game 2 on Alvarado? And OKC game? NBA players take care of this bs and Wenby’s time will come soon
@SpursReporter Good players never blame refs publicly, you should know that. Wenby is a dirty player, almost took Alvarado’s head off in game 2 and Brunson’s last night and no flagrant or foul called. Knicks need an enforcer that will put him on his ass the next time he pulls that shit.
@NBAOfficial The NBA should be embarrassed by the refs in these 2 games. BS tech on Robinson and flimsy fouls on KAT while allowing Castle to mug Brunson and letting Wenby (going back to OKC series) to get away with elbowing and throwing players around. Wenby 2 PF only in game 2. Seriously?
