Housing is not on the exclusive list under the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In fact it should be moved to the residual list if possible.
Housing / social housing is more of a state / local council responsibility. The states own the land, the people reside in the local councils.
In the UK 40% of public housing are owned by the local councils. The rest are owned by independent private home associations. The model is the same in the US, the private and non-profit housing authorities own public houses. Lagos as an example has LagosHoms.
The president has given his scorecard, tell us how many houses your Governor or LG chairman delivered in 3 years. The FG has no business building houses. Its role should be limited to financing and grants, while working with the local councils and states.
I transferred my bank app to a new phone and discovered I couldn’t make transfers above ₦50,000 within the first 24 hours. I urgently needed to pay my printers, so I rushed to the bank.
There, I was told to simply verify my identity by placing any finger on an ATM. I did, my details popped up instantly, and I completed the transfer.
The same principle can strengthen national security. Since citizens’ details are captured in the National Identity Database, security agencies should be equipped with mobile biometric devices to verify identities on the spot. If a person’s details cannot be found or do not match, further questioning can follow.
A country cannot effectively secure its borders and communities if people can move around without a verifiable identity.
Hello Celebrities/Influencers
Yes we have our security challenges but you using your wide reach to spread fear with false alarm and fake footage is the highest form of irresponsibility.
Yes criticize constructively not fake news
Responsible use of social media is possible
@theairbuser That's just the sad truth, the policies that created the hardship may have saved us from future collapse, but majority of the masses are not in tune with the technicalities of all that, so APC may just lose a lot of votes for that
I will tell anybody who cares to listen the brutal truth. I’m not going to call him names but the harsh reality is that in the unlikely event that he becomes president, he will not fix Nigeria in four years. The same complaints Nigerians are complaining about, they will still complain about it under his government.
You know why? The National Assembly will be dominated by APC and PDP (or to some extent, ADC with NDC being the minority). The governors will be largely APC and PDP (or ADC to some extent). Judging from how he handled party politics, he seems weak when it comes to playing politics. How will he pass budgets? How will he get things done? The National Assembly will show him the real definition of checks and balances. When he came into office in 2006, the Anambra State Assembly was PDP dominated. They frustrated him to the point of unlawfully impeaching him. Relief came when many of these PDP folks lost the majority seats and he was fully in charge after being reinstated by the courts.
He’s going to struggle with a National Assembly dominated by the opposition parties.
Asides that, he has the civil service and the Labour unions to deal with. How will he handle them? Civil service is the headquarters of corruption and bureaucracy in Nigeria.
Also economic realities will not go away. You will still buy fuel at high prices depending on market conditions. Insecurity will not go away either.
At the end his supporters will say he’s a good person but he wasn’t allowed to perform.
@gOkEspark@mobilisingniger They might not have direct command over the boots on the ground, but they absolutely have the influence to get joint military and police squads patrolling those flashpoints. The money is there; it’s really just a question of whether they actually care enough to fund it.
@Tochukwu_UO@Drecares01@U_Rochas Team..lol, you sir are joking
His previous comment about him in the last election cycle is the true impression he has about him
Mr Obi is just a convenient partnership\stepping stone for his presidential ambition in 2031.
Tell obi to change his one term stand and things scatter
@ReformerOluseun@DeeOneAyekooto He benefited from the same system in the past, so no need to start preaching now.
I personally find the whole grassroot politicking system crude though, not based on ideas at all
@DeeOneAyekooto His analogy was so stupid, we have hundreds of people who are paid monthly to investigate and persecute people who are corrupt,is he going to stop them doing their job?
Very dull man
@ezebuvick@BigSam_A1@AYINDEJIDE@instablog9ja Tinubu is dull and Obi is smart LOOL, U sir are just as dull as Obi then..
Tinubu definitely has his flaws but to say Obi is smart is you being delusional
