As the Dothraki people's lives depend first and foremost on their horses, David Peterson created the Dothraki language to reflect their culture of horseback riding and horse rearing.

Fictional Language Friday: Na'vi!

Na'vi is language of the Na'vi people in the Avatar film series. In order to realize Na'vi as a complete concept, Cameron enlisted the help of linguist Paul Frommer who created an extensive vocabulary and set of grammar rules for the language!
