"If AB 1633 is signed into law, SF communities like South of Market will suffer, as serious environmental and public health impacts will go unanalyzed and unmitigated. ... [@CAgovernor] must "walk the walk” and reject AB 1633." - @reina_queen82

Half the condos in many buildings sit vacant thanks to "an oversupply resulting from 100s of new luxury condos flooding the city in the last 5 years."
Join us at SF's Land Use hearing 10/16, 1:30pm to demand #AffordableFirst not more unaffordable units!

Reject Breed's Redevelopment 2.0 legislation! Embrace the Citywide People's Plan!
Turn out to Planning today to say "NO!" to developer giveaways, demolitions causing displacement, and no real plan for affordability! SF needs truly affordable housing FIRST & tenant protections!
Why we need TRULY AFFORDABLE HOUSING FIRST:
SF has highest vacancy rates in US, yet rents aren't becoming affordable b/c "landlords don’t want to devalue their buildings" - @noah_arroyo & @rolandlisf
They'd rather leave them empty rather than drop rents.https://t.co/uOqjCjvjNb
Breed’s developer giveaway plan “has deeply inadequate protections for tenants […] & absolutely no guarantees that new housing will be affordable to anyone but the rich.”
@sfbos, reject this & address SF’s actual needs. Embrace the Citywide People’s Plan!https://t.co/qb6fNuj4FW
SF has a 34% commercial vacancy rate & a 15% residential one, the highest in the US w/ over 61K vacant housing units!
We must reject Breed's sweeps & her plan to streamline unaffordable homes, while displacing tenants & worsening homelessness!
We need the Citywide People's Plan
This is exactly why we need @sfbos to reject @LondonBreed developer giveaway planning legislation and embrace the Citywide People's Plan! The Mayor's legislation has no plan for affordable housing & will cause even more displacement of tenants & small biz.

Important 🧵!
"SF’s Planning Dept has reiterated year after year that street homelessness will only end when the city creates enough affordable housing.
Where is this housing?
The city has wasted millions of taxpayer dollars on everything except solving the problem."
Yesterday we planned a teach-in outside SF Planning's Open House promoting the Mayor's developer giveaway plans. Though a ranger was called on us for "tabling and solicitation", it was very clear residents want to learn about the #CitywidePeoplesPlan for truly affordable housing!
Even if this bill passes and builds housing.... the people I serve won't be able to afford to live in it....
❤️🩹 I wish more politicians understood!

This report from 2012 was made after an impactful exchanged with communities who deal with the health impacts of living near oil refineries...

Thank You @LuzRivas for helping protect low income communities of color.
UPDATE: The San Francisco’s School Board of Education agenda for this upcoming March 7th meeting does not include a discussion/vote of our Eid Holiday as an agenda item. The San Francisco Board of Education have rejected community demands and are not moving forward with the student-led resolution they passed. #SFEid
