Six CUHK scholars have been awarded fellowships by the Research Grants Council (RGC) under Junior Research Fellow Scheme (JRFS) 2025/26 which encourages and supports their postdoctoral research at CUHK for a period of two years. The awardees and their project titles are:
- Dr HONG Huiling | The role of interferon-activated capillary endothelial cell population in acute lung injury
- Dr LU Qi | AI literacy, writing engagement, and L2 writing performance among Non-Chinese Speaking students: A longitudinal study of profiles and associations
- Dr WANG Chong | Study on the photocatalytic reduction of unsaturated organic molecules over polymeric carbon nitride with synergetic light/dark process
- Dr WANG Xuchuang | Developing Online Learning Algorithmic Tools for Future Networks in Quantum and Multi-Agent Systems
- Dr WONG Miu Yin| Evolving Family amid Same-Sex Marriage in Asia: A Comparative Study of Same-Sex Couples and Their Parents in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore
- Dr XIE Jing| Additive design for safe lithium-ion battery
The RGC JRFS, formerly known as the RGC Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme, aims to provide promising local and non-local postdoctoral researchers at UGC-funded universities with support at a pivotal time in their very early careers. It also aims to support their transition, when applicable, in taking up Assistant Professor or Research Assistant Professor positions at UGC-funded universities during the fellowship period. The scheme is designed to nurture and expand the pool of research talents, with a view to propelling research and development in Hong Kong and fostering a research culture.
