As Christmas approaches, CUPE 129 urges the generous community to unite with St. Paul on the Hill Community Food Bank to ensure no family goes hungry. The food bank is hosting a special Christmas Fundraiser as part of this Holiday Season.

Today at Esplanade Park in Pickering we remember the sacrifice of the military veteran and the civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts. We pay tribute to the special contribution of families and of the emergency services. Lest we forget.
While many prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, others aren’t so fortunate. This Thanksgiving our members donated $1500 to St. Paul’s on the Hill Food Bank. Our Recording Secretary Chantelle Adair presented the cheque today.

The CUPE 129 Social Committee is hosting an evening at the Rogers Centre to watch the Blue Jays take on the Athletics on August 9, 2024. We are providing two complimentary tickets to each member, with an option to purchase additional tickets at a discount of 50%.
Although the donation bin at the Pickering Recreation Complex is full the Food Bank really needs some more support, they are looking for food donations such as non-perishable goods and tin supplies, thank you so much.
