On the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, we honour the memory of the women who lost their lives in the Γcole Polytechnique tragedy, as well as all those affected by gender-based violence.
Today we remember those who never came home, and those who came home forever changed.
We honour their courage, their sacrifice, and the generations who carried that loss.
May we live and work in ways that are worthy of their memory.
Lest We Forget.
This Thanksgiving, choose union-made! Check out UFCW's Great Canadian Food Products page: https://t.co/dvrQjSrFMQ Buying union-made means backing safe, fair jobs and helping to keep our communities strong, just like our CUPE 374 members do every day.

π₯ HEAT WAVE ALERTπ‘οΈ
For CUPE 374 members working outdoors, extreme heat and exposure to high UV index is an occupational hazard. Exposure to high temperatures and direct sun puts your health at risk. Be alert and take precautions.
As we continue to plan out the finer details, we wanted to let members know that we've set a date and location for our gathering in remembrance of Steve: September 20 at the Archie Browning Arena Lounge (upstairs) in Esquimalt. Further details will be provided soon.
AI is changing the way we work, but workers still have the power to shape what comes next. Thatβs why CUPE has launched a new hub: https://t.co/5NR0B7Ly3N - a one-stop shop for tools, research, and bargaining support to help locals tackle AI and digital tech at the table.
It's been 3 weeks since the sudden loss of our brother Steve. Plans are being made for a service but in the interim, we wanted to share his Member Focus profile from a few years agoβa great reminder of his wonderful personality. We miss you, Steve. https://t.co/S1Idif0YXB
