CVCC Cosmetology alum Lilly Ozog followed her passion for hair all the way from the classroom to becoming the owner of Vanity Avenue Salon!

Lilly’s story is a reminder that cosmetology is so much more than working behind the chair. From education and product sales to salon ownership, the opportunities are endless when you’re willing to keep learning and growing.

Juniors from CVCC’s Health Careers, Dental Assisting, and Fire & EMS Academy programs learned from the Cleveland Clinic Mobile Stroke Team during a hands-on visit with the Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit (MSTU).
Students explored the signs and symptoms of strokes, the importance of fast treatment, and even practiced removing a clot from a simulated vein. They also learned how the MSTU brings advanced stroke care directly to patients using on-board technology and a specialized medical team.

Students wrapped up the experience by learning the importance of BEFAST when recognizing stroke warning signs:
