This just lights an even hotter fire in me. I REFUSE to let this industry play in my mf face. I will be apart of the generation that is not only paid their worth but an active part in making sure generations after me will as well. Nobody around me will EVER feast on crumbs.
I’m so sad for Andre Leon Talley having to spend his last days on earth fighting against being evicted from his home after all the money, culture and attention he brought to that fashion magazine. Knowing the racism and pay disparities he experienced throughout his life.
Rom-Coms from the 90’s - early 2000’s we’re so good. They have such a whimsicalness to them that I feel is missing in a lot of rom coms today. Plus the acting was always so spot on.
The Best Man trilogy (incl the series) does not get enough recognition for how great it is given that all the pieces are like 10 yrs apart. It’s so rare for spaced-out sequels to have stories and character arcs that feel truly authentic to the OG piece & not a forced money grab
One of the most interesting things that happened during the pandemic that we all conveniently forgot was how absolutely terrified governments and industry were when we stopped spending all our money buying consumer goods from them, so much so that they gave us money to spend.
Please stop using the community fridges in Philly as a “knocking out two birds with one stone” thing.
Folks who rely on that food don’t want expired cans of food.
If you’re going to give, do it with intention. How you give says a lot about how you uphold “deservingness.”
