We recently came across the grave of sailor William Brass at Baton Rouge National Cemetery. William was an 18-year-old farmer from Michigan when he enlisted in late August 1864. Just weeks later he was dead, succumbing to Typhoid in Baton Rouge in early November. #CWBluejackets
