Feb 4, 2026 marked another moment in the #Repeal162 journey. The decriminalization appeal had its first substantive hearing since 2019. The Court adjourned to May 2026, but the constitutional questions remain alive. Justice is worth pursuing.

Our Management Committee met in Antigua & Barbuda last week for our Annual Meeting and to continue preparations for CHOGM 2026 in St. John’s this November. A productive time connecting with activists and leaders across the region. Special thanks to ECADE for supporting this trip.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Costa Gavrielides. A leading member of our Network, Costa was a tireless champion for human rights and LGBTI+ equality in Cyprus, across Europe and throughout the Commonwealth. He will be greatly missed.🕯️
🕯️ We are deeply saddened by the passing of @CGavrielides at the age of 48. Co-founder and former President of @AcceptCY, he championed LGBTQI+ rights, helped deliver the CY-UK MoU on equality issues and served as @CWEquality’s European point of contact. Heartfelt condolences 💐

We welcome @SGCommonwealth’s powerful reminder that defending civic space, gender equality and democracy requires protecting human rights.
Protecting the human rights of the most marginalised isn’t optional, it's fundamental to a future that includes everyone.
Today, we renew our commitment to the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights & our #CommonwealthCharter.
Human rights are the everyday essentials that uphold dignity, democracy & development for our 2.7 billion people.
