#TFCLive need to be more fluid with Salloi going to the left of Sargent. Salloi’s pace hasn’t been effective against Mbokazi. I think Salloi would match up better with Elliott in transition (which is the main way TFC have been attacking) and Sargent’s size better with Mbokazi.
#TFCLive starting to get healthy again. Sargent starting (guessing he plays 60mins max), Corbeanu on the bench for the first time this season, Vilsaint/Monlouis back in the 18, and Gomis starting (guessing Monlouis will be his sub). Interesting Gilman is starting over Edwards.
Gilman still could have made 1 more appearance on a short term loan before needing to sign a first team deal with #TFCLive. So, this seems to be a reward for how he’s done so far this season. More defensive depth is never a bad thing, especially with a very unhealthy backline.
Benjamin Cremaschi to #TFCLive for one of their spare INT slots and GAM would be quite tasty if I’m TFC. Could also do a cash trade and then send the INT slot as a separate😉 trade. Would give #IMCF $ and the INT slot. (assuming that Cremaschi doesn’t get bought by Parma)
Inter Miami has no allocation money. Nothing to pay Casemiro, nothing to get an Int'l Roster Slot, nothing to buy Discovery Rights from LAG.
They have to sell a player.
A lot needs to happen during the World Cup if they’re going to come anywhere close to salvaging the season. I’m just not sure there’s enough time for them to make an attempt, never mind everything actually happening. Safe to say #TFCLive are still building up from the tear down.
Look, you can’t take a ton from that game for #TFCLive, but it was still pretty disappointing. They looked like a team who with 13 players out and only 2(?) regular outfield starters. Officiating cant be an excuse, but it was (again) an issue costing TFC 2 penalties and a goal.
Gilman looked much better than his first appearance, Gomis returned (desperately needed this), and DEj scored a banger. Other than that, 🤷♂️. This has been a very disappointing stretch for TFC, with another very tough defensive matchup against Cuypers and Chicago coming up.
This might be the most insane injury report I’ve ever seen. 12 confirmed #TFCLive out with 1 more questionable of 28 available players. They’re going into the game with 2 CBs (1 of which hasn’t played a minute since tearing his achilles last year), 2 fullbacks, 2 CMs, and 1 ST.
The issue is, that’s a ton of work to do mid-season. With the World Cup break, maybe that’s more feasible, but adding 3 players (and finding a way to fit them on the roster) will take some maneuvering (and maybe a departure?). So 1 signing probably makes more sense.
END
I think there are a few ways #TFCLive could go to address holes in the roster.
1. Just replace Cifuentes with one TAM level guy and sign a TFC2 midfielder (Bossenberry?) for depth.
2. Add a DP midfielder
3. Add a U22 to fill the midfield void and add depth elsewhere.

Midfield is expected to be a major area of focus for Toronto FC in the summer transfer window.
They’ll need at least one starting caliber midfielder as well as additional depth.
There’s a DP spot available. They can go the U22 route—maybe both? We’ll see.
#TFCLive
There is a path for a combination of the 3 routes (you could add a U22, DP, and even a cheap depth player on loan if you move a couple players to the supplemental roster). Some sort of combination of Cremeschi (U22), a DP and a loan would comfortably fit on their books.
